What we store

• Account: your email address and the ID from GitHub or Google if you sign in that way. Your email is never shown to other members.
• Profile: username, display name, avatar, bio, tools, specialties and optional links. All of this is public.
• Content: questions, answers, comments, votes, marks and reports, with timestamps. Posts and answers are public; votes and reports are not.
• Usage events: which features you use (for example “asked a question”, “searched”), tied to your account or to an anonymous session cookie. We use this to see which features work and to remove the ones that do not. No third-party analytics or advertising tools.

Cookies

Two: one that keeps you signed in, and one anonymous session ID for the usage events above. No tracking cookies from anyone else.

Email

We send sign-in links, a reminder when your question has answers but no chosen best answer, and moderation notices. Later: optional notifications and a weekly digest, each with an unsubscribe link.

Where it lives

Database and authentication: Supabase (EU, London). Hosting: Vercel. Email: Resend. Sign-in providers: GitHub and Google, only if you use them.

Your rights

You can edit your profile at any time. You can ask for a copy of your data or for deletion. Deleting removes your account, email and profile; your posts stay, credited to “deleted member”. Contact: hello@askvibe.dev.
