Vercel domain says 'Invalid Configuration' for 3 days, domain from GoDaddy

Added mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com in Vercel. Both show Invalid Configuration with a red cross. I added the A record Vercel shows in GoDaddy DNS. When I visit the domain I get a GoDaddy page that says the domain is parked.

What I’ve tried

Waited 3 days for propagation, clicked Refresh in Vercel many times, added the A record again.

GoDaddy puts its own parking A record on @ and you now have two. DNS hands out both, so some checks see Vercel and most see the parking page.

In GoDaddy DNS, delete the A record for @ with the value "Parked" (or any IP that isn't the one Vercel gave you).
For www, GoDaddy has a CNAME pointing to @ by default. Change it to the CNAME value Vercel shows for www.
Check Forwarding at the bottom of the DNS page. If domain forwarding is on, turn it off.

Then pick one as primary in Vercel (usually apex or www) and set the other to redirect to it. Three days of "propagation" is almost never propagation, it's a conflicting record.

To stop guessing: run dig mydomain.com A +short and dig www.mydomain.com CNAME +short. What comes back is the truth, whatever the registrar UI shows.
