Which is cheaper for a small nonprofit: Firebase or Supabase?

About 300 users, a few hundred writes a day, some file uploads. We have no budget beyond coffee money.

Read both pricing pages. Firebase's per-read pricing scares me, Supabase's fixed tiers confuse me.

At 300 users both are free.

Firebase: pay per read/write. Free tier is 50k reads a day. A dashboard that lists 100 donors = 100 reads per open. Fine at your size, painful at 10x if you don't paginate.
Supabase: 500 MB database and 1 GB storage free, then €25 flat. Predictable.

For a nonprofit that will not go viral: Supabase, because the bill cannot surprise you. Set the spend cap.

Whatever you pick: put file uploads behind size limits. Storage is the line item that grows quietly.
