Claude Code in a monorepo: start it in the root or in the app folder?

pedro_the_pm We have apps/web, apps/mobile and packages/shared. If I start Claude in the root it reads everything and gets confused between web and mobile. If I start it in apps/web it can't see packages/shared and duplicates types.
What's the setup people use?
What I’ve tried
Tried a CLAUDE.md in the root describing the folders. Better, but it still edits mobile when I ask for web changes sometimes.
Following. Same setup with a shared package.
