Send this before the session degrades, not after. The Traps section is the one that pays for itself: without it the next session confidently repeats the approach you already know does not work.

We are nearly out of context. Do not write code.

Write HANDOFF.md with exactly these sections, short:
- Goal: what we are building, two sentences.
- Done: what works now, with the files that hold it.
- Open: what is not finished, with the next concrete step.
- Decisions: choices we made that are not obvious from the code, and why.
- Traps: what you tried that did not work, so the next session does not repeat it.

Nothing else. No summary of the conversation.
